The 51-year-old man was allegedly involved in a collision on Mowbray Place at Willoughby about 2.10am (AEST) today.
When police arrived at the scene they found him inside his vehicle.
The man was given a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station for a breath analysis, which allegedly returned a reading of 0.149.
The man's licence has been suspended and he has been charged with driving with mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol (PCA).
He will appear in Hornsby Local Court on September 22.
