For a mid range, on conviction there is a minimum disqualification of 6 months and an automatic of 12. The maximum penalty for mid-range is imprisonment, but the most common penalty is a fine or a good behaviour bond.
The court can choose to not record a conviction against you (meaning you would avoid a criminal record and a disqualification), but given you are on your P's that would be a fantastic result.
Hope that helps!
