High range PCA P2 plater

Postby Thetraps » October 6th, 2014, 11:17 pm

Hello

I was currently breath tested by an RBT and blew a PCA of .261, which of course is extremely high. This is my first offence. I am wondering if it's likely I will be looking a jail time given such a high reading. I hadn't been charged with anything else at the time. I do however have 2 red light fines in the 3 years I've had my licence.

I live in NSW

Thanks for your help

Hi Thetraps,

In your situation I would highly recommend that you seek the assistance of a solicitor.

This is because 0.261 is a very high reading and is aggravated by the fact that you are on a provisional P2 licence.

Though gaol time is unlikely for a first offence without an accident it is not completely out of the question. You would certainly be looking at a lengthy disqualification period, a fine and quite likely a Community Service Order.

If you would like to speak further about the matter, please contact me on 02 9261 4555.
