A disqualified driver will face court today after allegedly registering a high-range blood alcohol reading after crashing his car into a tree. The Greta Main man, 38, had allegedly overtaken another car on Wollombi Road last night before losing control and crashing into a tree further along the country road. The occupants of the overtaken car discovered the wreck and called police.
The driver is alleged to have registered a reading of 0.188 before police discovered he was disqualified from driving until 2019.
He was refused bail to appear in Maitland Local Court today.
