Postby ddforum » November 11th, 2011, 10:05 am

A Fraser man is facing several charges after he was caught drink driving two times in as a many hours last night.

ACT Policing said the 36-year-old driver was first stopped by members of the Tuggeranong Patrol for a random breath test on Drakeford Drive in Isabella Plains around 10pm.

He returned a positive roadside result and was taken to Tuggeranong Police Station, where he returned an alcohol reading of 0.086.

Police later released the man after telling him he would be summonsed to court for this drink-driving offence.

About 11.50pm, members of the Gungahlin Patrol caught the man speeding at twice the 60km/h limit along Ellenborough Street in Kaleen.

The man undertook another roadside breath test, which again returned a positive result.

He was taken to Belconnen Police Station, where he returned an alcohol reading of 0.056.

The man was taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with speeding and drink-driving. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court on November 22.

ACT Policing caught 32 drink drivers last week, 11 of whom had a zero limit restriction on their licence.
