A YOUNG woman has stunned police by recording a blood alcohol content of 0.385 - one of the highest levels ever recorded.
The 21-year-old's mid-week bender must have been of astronomic proportions - she recorded the mind-blowing result at 8.40am in Canberra.
Police came across the woman last Wednesday after she was involved in a minor accident.
Police said they subjected the woman to a roadside screening before she was taken to the Canberra Hospital.
A blood sample was taken, the results of which were delivered to police yesterday.
The 0.385 reading was 19 times the permitted blood alcohol level - she is a P-plate driver which permits a reading of only 0.02.
