P-PLATER charged after crashing his car next to booze bus

A P-PLATER will be charged with drink-driving after crashing his car into a pole just metres from a booze bus.
The 22-year-old man crashed the unregistered car on Marine Pde in Hastings about 7pm yesterday.
He was doing 100km/h in the 70km/h zone and allegedly blew 0.185 per cent when breath tested, police said.
He is expected to be charged on summons.
Meanwhile, another man was caught doing more than double the speed limit when he overtook an unmarked police car in Reservoir.
Police detected him allegedly doing 153km/h in a 70km/h zone in Mahoneys Rd.
The 44-year-old Mill Park man blew an alleged alcohol reading of 0.107 per cent and had his Ford Cougar impounded for 30 days.
He is also expected to be charged on summons.
