Minimum licence loss? Prior over 10 years ago.

Postby John C » November 28th, 2011, 2:46 pm

I was picked up recently in Ringwood for drink driving .16 . I have looked at the websites and they all seem to say the minimum I will lose my licence for is 16 months. I have one prior for .15 but it was 10 years ago

The Magistrate does not have to limit themselves to the minimum period of 16 months. More and more the Magistrates are saying that if you have a prior , even over the 10 years that you should have a further disqualification.
