interlock qld

I have just returned to my open license after a year in the interlock program$$$$$$$$. Now my interlock needs to come out. Im really not fond of paying 150 to get it uninstalled when I'm an auto elec and can remove it myself in 20 minutes and without giving more money to our friendly state gov. Any one know the legal obligations for removing this thing yourself. I do have an open qld license.
