@jdmarkau: If this is your first drink driving offence, and assuming it occurred in largely ‘benign’ circumstances (for example, by way of an RBT), you might expect to be fined between $400 and $800 and to lose your licence (providing you hold and Open licence) for between 3 and 6 months (though the mandatory minimum disqualification is only 1 month). In Queensland a court can impose both of these penalties without recording the conviction, though you might expect the conviction to be recorded in most instances.
If you hold a Queensland licence you might also be eligible to apply for a restricted licence (also called a work licence) which is, in essence, an order of the court giving you permission to drive for the purpose of earning your living during the period of your licence disqualification.
