In 2002 I was caught driving under the influence with a BAC of 0.1 in Brisbane QLD. I went to court at the time and had my licence suspended for 6 months but I remember the judge saying that no criminal conviction would be recorded. I have have since moved overseas and have had job applications that have asked about previous criminal convictions (explicitly stating that this includes driving under the influence convictions). I'm really not sure if I have a criminal conviction or not - it was 10 years ago and when I got my driving history from QLD transport it had no record of this (but it only went back 5 years I believe). Is there a difference between having your licence suspended for DD and having a conviction? And is there a quick way to find out which one I have??
Cheers,
