A 90-year-old woman from the NSW south coast has been charged with high-range drink driving.

The elderly woman was stopped by police conducting roadside breath-testing along the Princes Highway at Bateman's Bay at 10.15pm (AEST) on Friday.

Police told ABC radio the woman struggled to pull over when she was flagged down and almost hit two officers.

She returned a positive reading of 0.230 and was arrested at the scene.

The woman has been charged with failing to supply a breath analysis after she failed a breath test at the police station as well as driving under the influence.

She will face Moruya Local Court on October 7.

The court is likely to disqualify her for life or disqualify her for a fixed time and make a recommendation that she is not to be issued with a drivers licence until she satisfies the RTA that she is fit to drive.
